Mindy Joy's First Birthday!!

I am thinking about this day last year. At this time I was in labor in the hospital, nervous about what was about to happen. This has been one of the happiest years of my life. We wondered what she would look like and do when I was pregnant with her. We couldn't have been given a more wonderful gift from God. She is such a blessing and has brought a smile and joy to many people, even outside her close family. God has truly blessed us with such and amazing daughter and to have so many people that care about her is almost overwhelming! I just want to thank everybody that has been a part of her life and has helped us make it through this first of many crazy years!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Mother's Day

Mindy got her first tooth this morning! It was a Mother's Day Miracle! We thought she would never get any teeth in those cute little gums of hers!

Mother's Day was very special this year, not just because it was my first one, but Minnie got to meet her Great Grandma Oleen. She lives very in the small town of Leveland, Texas. She and her 92 year-old boyfreind go have coffee every day with friends and she is the sweetest lady I have ever met. One of the absolute prettiest as well! Mindy's Uncle Chris (Unkie) came from Florida too! Miss Megan from 610 Sports Radio was another fun participant in a very wonderful Mother's Day. Grandpa Doug took us all to brunch at the Country Club and the Pastors of our Church dine there too it seems! The wife taught the lesson for the service, she had a song to go with every season of her life, good or bad, and shared with us how God is still faithful to her.

Yes that is a lemon in her hand at Brunch, it was very amusing! She kept on eating it even after making all sorts of funny faces!

We had breakfast with Nana and PapPap and Aunt Nicole and Uncle Bill in the morning so she got to see all her Grandma's for her first Mother's Day.

Another Bath!

She is getting so BIG! Meme thinks she has outgrown her little bathtub but she loves it! I drop her in and she grabs all her ducks and holds on as long as she can! She is so happy until she loses one off the side!

Mindy's Dedication

Okay........so I didn't get any pics at the church, bad mommy! But we did have a very special day, she was dedicated at Grace Church of Humble. We took her up to the altar with her grandparents and promised to raise her in the Church and give our gift from God to Him and His Will. The pastor came by and blessed her and said a prayer over her. Meme, Grandpa Doug, Pop, Grandma Rosalyn, Aunt Nelda and Uncle John, Carly and Andrew, Uncle Mark and her cousin Colby all got to celebrate her special day with us. (We were all very hot after the service on a hot Houston day, that's why she looks a little miserable in her carseat. We got her cooled off very shortly thereafter.)

Watching the Stros

Our friends Mark and Melissa love to see Mindy and how fast she is growing! They also like the Astros and American Idol so Minnie just loves to go over there. This was right before we left, she likes Mark okay too! :)

Happy Easter

Even though it was cold and miserable outside this Easter, we had a good ole time at the bay with Mindy and her cousins!

Springtime at the Park

Minnie got to go to the park by our new house for some spring time pics! She loved playing and seeing every thing, she got to swing with mommy and daddy too!

Destin Florida

Minnie got to go in the pool for the first time!!

We tried the float backwards for the first time with Daddy, Maddy and Mayzie!

She learned how to boogey board!

She slept in late with Daddy.

She got to see her first beach sunset...

She gossiped with Laney for the first time...

She celebrated her first St. Patrick's Day and tried to steal my something green! Laney thought she was funny.

After all of the excitement Laney went straight to sleep with Minnie!
I don't know if she was very happy about that... We had a blast and Mindy loved her first time to the beach with all of her family.

Biter Biscuits!

Mindy got to eat a biter biscuit at Aunt Nicole's while everybody helped build Chase's new birthday swing set. She didn't know what to think at first but she got the hang of it and washed it down with a bottle! (One handed... She is so smart!)

Get my FEET!!

Mindy has just discovered her feet and she can get them in her mouth!! I know I have a lot of bath pics up but she is so funny, she can really get her feet with her diaper off!
